Short Video Reflection (Nafs and Self-hate)

A video shared by my naqibah was from Yasmin Mogahed where she shared on the existence of nafs, shaitan that whispered bad to human that cause human to hate themself. Nowadays, there are many people facing difficulties, test and depressed with their life, some are hating themself for not be able to achieve the goals or the success. The negative thought keep coming and hurt ourself, when it is Shaitan that make us to self-hate.  Self-hate, negative thought is a disease for our heart, soul and even our body. These negative thoughts make us lazy, angry, tired of life which may lead to the weak iman. USRAH BUDI 4 Reflection

 I have joined Usrah Budi 4 class for this semester, Semester 2, 2021/2022 with Sister Fida Ibrahim. The usrah session this time was more fun because there were various types of input given. Usrah sessions are filled with beneficial activities such as Tadabbur, sharing sessions, games, short film reviews and more. I love usrah sessions that have a variety of activities and provide knowledge and teaching at the same time. In terms of the content of the partnership, all of those partnerships can serve as a reminder to myself in being grateful and always remembering God. It became my spiritual food in my busy study. Sometimes the naqibah will give me a task to review a song or a short video, this activity opened my eyes to better think and understand the beauty of Islam. Since that this is the last Usrah Budi session for me, I cherish this class more and will appreciate all the sharings.
