My Past Projects in University :)

I will show 3 programmes that I have involved in University since my foundation year. These programs have given a lot of values and lessons in my life. Most of the programs are organized by society that I involved in and mainly I am one of the committee that works on those programs.

1) Hit The Prayers Week

Hit The Prayers week is a program to improve Salah of the students, where among the activities are, waking up Subh, Daie Competition and talk related to Salah. The picture above is from Daie Competition where the students competing to spread the da'wah in creative ways. The audience are quite lot too, and all the programs during this week got wide audiences. From this program, I got to learn the importance of performing congregational prayers (jamaah). During this week, everyone struggle together to wake up each other for Subh and perform it together. I'm so touched when seeing quite big number of line (saf) during the prayers. When we want to improve something, it is better to do it together with our friends and influence others to follow. This program gave a big impact to me especially about the Salah.

2) Youth Charity Week at Kg. Sungai Mas

Youth Charity Week is a volunteer program at Orang Asli Village which located at Kuantan. During this week, I got to get to know with Orang Asli, I think it is my first time to meet Orang Asli and talk to them. It is such a wonderful experience for me as they are very nice and energetic. We did lot of activities together including playing and performing.

Me and my friends went to Orang Asli's house one by one and give them some donation and dry foods. Then, we have sport activities just like at the pictures above. I can see the children's smile and it makes me happy. They like to ask about Islam, as some of them are non-Muslim, start from that I aim to learn more because I am quite speechless when they ask about Islam. I think I need to explore how to spread the da'wah to non-Muslim with wisdom. From this program, I learn to understand how Orang Asli lives in small village and far from the city, they need to travel far to go to the school and buy necessary things. Their environment and condition are very different from me, I'm blessed to know them. I learn to be grateful and realize other people's struggle in this world.

3) PKP 1.0: Food Distribution Volunteer

During the first Movement Control Order on March 2020, I volunteered at my mahallah, Mahallah Aminah to distribute free foods to the students in mahallah. We got free foods for breakfast, lunch and dinner sponsored by the government. So, everyday I will in charge to help the fellow distribute the foods while checking my mahallah's friends condition, whether physical or mental health. During the first MCO, many students are facing depression because of stress and lonely stay at Mahallah. I took this chance to always checking up their mental health.

I met and hear lot of stories when I work here, there are many stories, obstacles that one need to face. From that, I started to ponder and brainstorming with myself on importance of mental health. We are privilage to have stable financial status and mental health, thus we need to help and understand those who are struggles with these problems. Volunteering have given me broad sight of people's condition.
